Huge News! We’ll See You Next Week at the LLB Farmer’s Market!

We have some exciting news! Next week, we’ll officially be joining the Lac La Biche Farmers' Market for our very first market as the Marigold Market!

When we first started planning our business plans earlier in the year, our goal had been to begin with the very first market of the season back in March. But like many first-time growers and small business owners, we found ourselves questioning whether we were truly ready.

Do we have enough inventory? Are our plants far enough along? Do we actually know what we we’re doing? Will anyone even stop at our table or want plants?

After a lot of overthinking and trying to play it safe, we ultimately decided to wait a little longer and aim for May instead.

Then something unexpected happened!

We were lucky enough to win a free table for the season through the market, and honestly, we were just so elated and surprised that we took it as a sign that maybe it was time to stop letting fear make decisions for us.

So instead of waiting for the “perfect” moment (which probably doesn’t really exist) and decided to take the leap.

Since January, our basement has slowly turned into a jungle of seed trays, grow lights, soil bins, and tiny seedlings. While we’re hording spring down here, it’s a blustery winter wonderland outside. Who wouldn’t be excited to look at some greenery amidst all this white?

There’s still a lot we’re learning, and we’re very much figuring things out as we go, but we’re excited to finally start sharing what we’ve been growing with the community.

This little farm is still in its first season and is very much in its beginning stages, but it already feels like something meaningful is starting to take root. We’re nervous, we’re excited, and we’re really grateful to have the opportunity to be part of such a welcoming community.

So, starting next week, April 10th, we will see you every Friday until the final market of the year on December 18th from 3pm to 6pm at the Lac La Biche Farmer’s Market!
