Our First Market Day!
On April 10th, we officially attended our very first market as the Marigold Market at the Lac La Biche Farmers' Market, and honestly it still feels a little surreal to say that out loud! It may seem like a small step, for for us it’s a huge milestone!
Since January, our basement has slowly transformed into a miniature greenhouse oasis filled with seed trays, grow lights, soil bins, and more plants than we’ve known what to do with at times. After months of planning, planting, watering, waiting, and learning, it felt incredibly exciting to finally bring those plants out into the community.
Like most first seasons, there have been moments where we’ve felt behind, especially having such a long and cold winter so far. But seeing people stop at our table, ask questions, share gardening stories, and take plants home with them reminded us why we started this in the first place.
We also want to say a huge thank you to the Lac La Biche Agriculture Society & Farmers Market for welcoming us so warmly and allowing us to become part of the market community. We were incredibly grateful (and honestly shocked) to win a free table for the season, which has made a huge difference for us as new growers starting out.
We’re excited to continue growing as budding (pardon the puns!) members of the community, and we’re so grateful to everyone who stopped by our table, supported us, or simply followed along during these early stages.
This is only the beginning, but it already feels like something really meaningful is taking root!
We are incredibly proud to say that we will see you at our home market every Friday, rain of shine, from 3pm to 6pm at the Lac La Biche Farmer’s Market, but you can also check our our Markets & Events Page for even more market announcements as the season unfolds!
