Fantasy Prayer Plant is a striking tropical houseplant known for its richly patterned foliage. Its oval leaves feature deep green markings crossed by fine pale green to golden veins, giving the foliage an almost hand-painted appearance.
You may also find this variety sold as Light Veins or Gold Lines, names inspired by its distinctive veining. Like other Marantas, it belongs to the group commonly known as prayer plants, named for the way their leaves move in response to changing light throughout the day. Maranta leuconeura is native to the wet tropical regions of central and eastern Brazil.
Light: Medium to bright indirect light. Protect from prolonged direct sunlight.
Water: Keep the soil lightly moist, allowing the upper layer to begin drying between waterings.
Temperature: 18°C–27°C is a comfortable indoor range.
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity. Dry conditions may contribute to brown leaf edges.
Growth: Compact and spreading, making it well suited to shelves, tabletops and plant stands.
Maintenance: Remove yellowing or damaged leaves as needed. Rotate periodically for balanced growth.
Plant appearance, bloom colour and size may vary. Each plant is a living specimen and naturally unique.
* Prayer Plants are considered non-toxic to cats and dogs. Eating any plant material may still cause mild gastrointestinal upset. Contact your veterinarian if you have concerns about your pet.
