Goldfish Plants are tropical houseplants known for their glossy green foliage and plump orange flowers, whose unique, curved shape resembles tiny goldfish swimming among the leaves. Their trailing growth habit makes them particularly well suited to hanging baskets and elevated shelves.
Native to Brazil, Nematanthus gregarius naturally grows as an epiphyte, growing on trees and other plants for support without feeding from them. Indoors, it appreciates bright filtered light, warmth and consistent moisture while still requiring good drainage around its roots.
Light: Bright, indirect light. Some sun is suitable, however protect from intense sunlight.
Water: Water when the upper layer of soil begins to feel dry.
Temperature: 18°C–27°C is a comfortable indoor range.
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity but can adapt to typical household conditions.
Bloom: May bloom repeatedly when provided with sufficient light and suitable growing conditions.
