Philodendron erubescens ‘Pink Princess’

Family: Araceae
Common Names: Pink Princess Philodendron, Philodendron Pink Princess
Plant Type: Tropical climbing perennial
Best For: Bright indoor spaces, climbing supports and colourful foliage displays
Pet Friendly: No, toxic to cats and dogs if ingested.*
Available Size: 6" nursery pots

Pink Princess Philodendron is a striking tropical houseplant known for its dark green leaves splashed with unpredictable shades of pink. Each new leaf develops its own pattern, ranging from small streaks and speckles to larger sections of pink variegation.

A cultivar of Philodendron erubescens, Pink Princess is naturally a climbing plant. Providing a moss pole or other support encourages larger leaves and more upright growth, while its colourful variegation is best maintained with plenty of bright, indirect light.

Care

Light: Bright indirect light. Good light helps maintain pink variegation.
Water: Allow the upper soil to dry slightly between watering. Avoid soggy soil.
Temperature: Prefers 18°C–27°C. Protect from cold drafts.
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity.
Growth: Climbing and vining with an upright habit when given support.
Maintenance: Provide support as it grows and remove damaged foliage as needed.

Plant appearance, bloom colour and size may vary.
Each plant is a living specimen and naturally unique.

* Pink Princess Philodendron is toxic to cats and dogs if chewed or ingested. Insoluble calcium oxalate crystals can cause immediate burning and irritation of the mouth, drooling, vomiting and difficulty swallowing. This type of poisoning is generally irritating rather than highly life-threatening, but contact your veterinarian if ingestion occurs and seek immediate care if your pet has difficulty swallowing or breathing.
